Former skipper of Rising Pune Supergiant MS Dhoni‘s bat is silent from last three consecutive matches. It seems that after losing the captaincy has affected deeply to Dhoni – the player.

Now the question arises that can MS Dhoni replicates what he did in one-day cricket? When this question was asked to former Australian pacer Brett Lee, he replied, “But we know how good Dhoni is. We wish him well. We know he is a wonderful character and how good he is for the game. I hope he can get a big one in the next game.“

Talking about the young competitors of Dhoni, Rishab Pant, and Sanju Samson, Lee said, “That’s good. It’s healthy when you have young guys pushing you. I know when I was playing for Australia and there were young guys coming through bowling 140’s and you know your spot is never guaranteed. But that makes you hungry and train harder.“

He further elaborated, “I think MS Dhoni should try and play his natural game. I am not going to sit here and say this is how he should bat because he has been a wonderful player batsman and captain. Just hope he can play his natural game.”

Lee also talked about Virat Kohli’s latest fitness video, he said, “You want to watch the best play. It’s sad when someone is injured. I wish Kohli well. It was unfortunate when Steve Smith could not turn up at the park the other day. You want these guys to play. Kohli is a mega star. One of the world’s best.”

Former deadly pacer concluded by talking about the purple patch of Steve Smith, he said, “Steve Smith is in the form of his life. He outscoring Kohli was incredible during the test series. We know what Kohli can do and he will be out there to rectify that but Steve Smith keeps getting better and better. He has now got what some 20 Test hundreds? It’s incredible.”
