Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Mustafizur Rehman came from a small town of Khulna division of Bangladesh. It was never easy for a player like him to make a name for himself. Despite the fact that he had a language barrier and lack of exposure, he has earned a nickname “the Fizz”, as he has been one of the most mystery pacers in recent times.

Most of the batsmen in the world have no answer to the subtle variations from the left-armer, especially during the death overs. In the last season of IPL, he picked as many as 17 wickets in the 16 games he played, for SRH at an unbelievable economy of 6.90 in a high-scoring league. Along with the bowlers like Ashish Nehra and Bhuveneshwar, he had given some tough time to the opposition batsmen; he also played a crucial role in Hyderabad’s success last year.

However, there is another new talent in SRH’s team this year, none other than Rashid Khan. These two bowlers can become a nightmare for any batting line-up. Mustafizur was the recipient of the Emerging Player of the tournament in the last season of the IPL and he is confident that this season will also be great for him. In an interview with a reporter at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, he said,“I will try to perform better than last time. I need everyone’s prayers so that I can do well”

He also added,”The last time I went there, everything was new to me. This time, I know the players, the grounds, and even the dressing room. It will be a lot easier to play the IPL this time. If I get to play, I will try to give my best.”

Mustafizur will be playing his first match of this season against Mumbai Indians in their own backyard at Wankhede. Mumbai won their last match against KKR as they had snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in that match, while Sunrisers is unbeaten in the tournament so far.
