The 10th season of IPL began with a bang as RCB and SRH clashed in the opening match. Records started to pile up from that game itself and we have collated some important and interesting stats from the 1st week of the Indian Premier League season 10.

100– wickets for Ashish Nehra in 83 IPL games. He is the first left arm bowler to reach this milestone in IPL. He achieved the feat by dismissing S. Aravind in the opening match of the tournament
100 – T20 catches for David Warner against RCB in the opening match. He became the 15th fielder to achieve the feat, barring the wicket keepers.
23 balls– Yuvraj Singh’s fifty was his fastest in IPL history.
3 LBWs– Rashid Khan became the first bowler in IPL to take three wickets in this fashion.
9th time – KKR’s 10 wkt win over Gujarat was the 9th occasion of a team winning the match by 10 wickets in IPL. RCB have done it twice in 2010 and 2015.
184*– 184* runs partnership between Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir is now the highest opening partnership in IPL ever. It beat the 167 runs partnership between Dilshan and Gayle against Pune Warriors in 2013.
4 times- Lynn (93*) and Gambhir (76*) was the fourth instance of both openers scoring fifties in an IPL game.
11 times – Suresh Raina (64*) and Gautam Gambhir (76*) was the 11th time skippers from both team scored fifties in the same match in IPL.
7000 runs – David Warner became the 4th batsmen to make 7000 runs in T20 cricket. He is the 2nd Australian to do so after Brad Hodge (7,338)
4 times– Ashoke Dinda has conceded 50 or more runs in his 4 overs in IPL.
30 runs- Ashoke Dinda now holds the record for most runs conceded by a bowler in the last over of an innings in IPL.
84* – Steve Smith now holds both the spots on highest individual score for Rising Pune Supergiant. He made 101 against Gujarat in IPL 2016.
1- the no. of times Rising Pune Supergiant have won at MCA Stadium in Pune. This was their first win at their home ground.
