IPL 2017 starts with a bang when the two finalist teams of last year, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will face each other in the opening match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. Here is a preview of the game that is bound to give the start required for the 10th edition of the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB have been severely marred by the injuries to all of their major players. KL Rahul has been ruled out of the IPL due to his shoulder injury, Sarfraz Khan has been ruled out after being injured in a practice match. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers will be sidelined for some initial matches, dealing with injuries of their own. This will give the youngsters in the side like Mandeep Singh; Sachin Baby etc more match time to prove themselves. The bowling is strengthened by inclusion of Tymal Mills, Adam Milne and Samuel Badree in the team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH are the defending champions and will look to start with a win against a weakened RCB side. They are with their full strength team, with Mustafizur joining the team after the Sri Lanka series. They are led by David Warner and an in form Shikhar Dhawan at the top, with Yuvraj Singh, Ben Cutting, Kane Williamson and Deepak Hooda to follow. Their bowling has been their strength and we will again see Ashish Nehra, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar along with Afghan star Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi choking the opposition batting.
