Indian Tennis star Rohan Bopanna and his Uruguayan partner Pablo Cuebas will be looking to enter into the last four of the Italian Open as they lock horns with the fourth seeded pair of Pierre-Higies Herbert and Nicolas Mahut.
The Indo-Uruguayan pair made a strong comeback from a set down to register a 4-6 7-6(7), 10-8 win over the seventh seeds Feliciano Lopez and Marz Lopez in the men’s doubles in the Italian Open.
The match lasted for about one hour and 39 minutes where Bopanna and Cueves got 3 break chances but failed to convert either of them and lost their serve once in the opening set. They decided to come back from behind to knock the Spanish Duo out of Rome and book their place in the quarter finals of the tournament. They concentrated well and did not lose focus.
In the women’s doubles clash, India’s Sania Mirza and Yaroslava Shvedova will be looking to storm into last 4 when they face the Italian duo of Sara Errani and Martina Trevisan in the quarter finals.
