Dravid is happy that Panta and Samson didn’t played like him.
In a recent interview after Delhi Daredevils’ successful run chase at the Ferozeshah Kotla, Coach Rahul Dravid asserted that he is happy that the youngsters, Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson did not watch a lot of videos of his own batting.
During his playing days, Dravid has always been known for his technique and gentle strokeplay, rather than his big hitting skills. This is what he was talking about when he said that both Rishabh and Sanju did well to not bat like him while chasing the big total.
Dravid basically interviewed the two youngsters and asked Pant about the state of his mind when he was batting in the middle. Pant’s replied that he was clear about the thought he will be going for the bowlers. The Delhi batsman said that he asked Sanju to look at the ball and hit it if it was in the slot.
Sanju Samson has had a prosperous season so far, said that the ball was coming on to his bat very well and the atmosphere helped him get into his groove quickly and smash those big hits.
Pant also stated that he was happy to have continued his form from domestic cricket into the IPL. He also said that he wants to help his team to reach the playoffs by winning the remaining matches.
