India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski gave a dominating display making an affirmative start to their mixed doubles campaign at the French Open on Thursday. The pair had an easy day in the office beating Australian pair of Jessica Moore and Matt Reid in the opening match of their Rolland Garros campaign. The match lasted for just 39 minutes as they crushed the Australian pair 6-0 6-1.
The Indo-Canadian duo will now face New Zealand’s Artem Sitak and Elina Svitolina of Ukraine.
The 7th seeded duo of Bopanna and Dabrowski smashed as many as 5 aces and even converted 5 out of 7 breakpoints that came their way.
Indian Combination of Purav Raja and Divij Sharan entered the third round of men’s doubles category following a hard earned win over Oliver Marach of Austria and Croatia’s Mate Pavic.
The unseeded Indian duo had to fight hard before claiming 6-3 6-4 6-4 win over their 15th seeded opponents.
