4) Mark Webber on Fernando Alonso, 2011 – Belgium

The list of the drivers who would give a shot to overtake at the daunting Eau Rouge, one of the most thrilling corners at Spa-Francorchamps, is very short. A select few of the most fearless ones have a crack at attempting the fabled left-right uphill kink flat out but largely many have only come close.

During the 2011 Belgian Grand Prix, Mark Webber wrote his name on that rarified list against one of toughest competitors and challengers the sport has ever seen in Fernando Alonso. Webber came close to touching the Spaniard’s wheel but darted past his championship rival.
