2) Nigel Mansell on Nelson Piquet, 1987 – Silverstone
Mansell’s second inclusion on this list comes by the virtue of his splendid move against his arch-nemesis and Williams partner Nelson Piquet at the 1987 British Grand Prix.
Mansell was on Piquet’s trail relentlessly for the most part and it was quite evident that at point in time during the course of the race he would surely overcome Piquet and blaze past him.
The moment when it arrived was spectacular. Mansell tricked Piquet into a cheeky dummy into Stowe, jinking left before bolting to right and securing the lead on the inside with just two laps remaining. Mansell went on to win the race as the fans came down in hordes rapturing into applause on the circuit during his victory lap.
