Fresh from a pair of international glories, ‘Deutscher FussballBund’ or the German Football Federation revealed that the number of football players registered under the federation has now crossed the mark of seven million.

The federation announced that 7,043,964 men and women were registered members, an increase of close to 75,000 from the previous year.

A major reason behind such an increase in the number of players registered under the national body for the sport is credited to the international success of the men”s German national football team and the recent triumphs of the senior team and the U-21 teams while the women’s national team are the reigning Olympic and European champions.
