This is Vettel’s fourth win of the season and 46th of his career. It was a battle to watch out for, in the Hungarian Grand Pix. He clinched the victory with his Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen and Mercedes Valtteri Bottastaking the second and third spot respectively.

Wasn’t a cake walk at all for Vettel. During the whole race, he had some serious steering issue but he should thank his Ferrari teammate Kimi to let him go along with his pace and cross the final line with 0.9 seconds away from him.

Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, came fourth to let his teammate Bottas give a tough fight to the Ferraris.  It helped Vettel extend his championship lead to 14 points over Hamilton heading into the summer break.

Vettel and Kimi were in a collision as soon as the race commenced. The Red Bulls were in a fight with the Mercedes ones. Red Bulls Verstappen easily tackled Hamilton in turn 1 but in his turn 2, he almost ran into Riccardio causing damage to his teammate but unharmed himself.

On the other hand, Vettel was leading Kimi when suddenly in first stop he reported about some steering issues. Bottas was the first of the front-runners to pit, with Hamilton, Vettel, and Raikkonen following.

As Verstappen pitted, Kimi asked Vettel to take the lead as the Mercedes was closing by. On the other hand, Hamilton asked Bottas to take a lead on the terms that he gets over Kimi. In turn 1 he succeeded and gave Hamilton the lead and within a few minutes, they were on same pace and track. He then allowed Bottas through to take third, with Verstappen just 0.3s adrift in third.

Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz was seventh, with Force India’s Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon eighth and ninth respectively. Grosjean, who made contact with Nico Hulkenberg and Marcus Ericsson was forced to retire his car. Paul di Resta retired due to illness in the closing stages of the match.
