Bengaluru FC have continued their activity so far in the transfer window and have now acquired the services of a former Barcelona B midfielder.

Indian Super League’s new entrants, Bengaluru FC, have signed Spanish midfielder Dimas Delgado as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2017 Indian Super League season.

The Federation Cup champions had decided to play in the ISL when the IMG-Reliance owned league invited bids for two new clubs, the other being the TATA Steel-owned franchise from Jamshedpur.

Bengaluru FC have been hugely successful since the club was establish and are intending to challenge for the top prize as they look forward to participate a revamped ISL. After having secured the signing of Australian midfielder Erik Partaalu earlier, the Blues have now opted to bring in Barcelona-born midfielder Dimas Delgado.

The 34-year-old veteran midfielder has previously played for Barcelona B team and has plied his trade in Spain’s LaLiga for CD Numancia. After making 200 appearances in Spanish football, he moved to Australia where he played for Western Sydney Wanderers beginning from 2015.

He will now play under compatriot Albert Roca in India’s Garden City as the JSW Steel owned outfit look to navigate their way to the title. They have already taken the first steps towards that accomplishment by retaining Indian captain Sunil Chhetri and promising young winger Udanta Singh along with defenders John Johnson and Juanan.
