Hitting sixes in cricket is no easy tasks. With modern bats, sure it can be easy but still the talent needs to be there to get that connection. It is very difficult to clear the fence and to think of hitting 6 sixes in an over no easy feat. Gary Sobers and Ravi Shastri did even when the bats were not too meaty. Gary Sobers was the first person to hit 6 sixes in an over. Ravi rook 16 years to match the same feat. Harshelle Gibbs, Yuvraj and Alex Hales are among the modern day cricketers to achieve the incredible feat as well.
Sir Garfield Sobers
Sir Gary Sober was the greatest all-rounder to have played the game of cricket. He wrote his name in the record books on August 31, 1968. Sir Gary became the first cricketer on the planet to smash 6 sixes in a single over in first class cricket. He managed to achieve the remarkable feat against Malcolm Nash of Glamorgan while playing for Nottinghamshire as captain. The over consisted of five clean hits for six and one six where the ball landed in the hands of Roger Davis but was unfortunately carried over the boundary rope.
