The newcomers of the league experienced different starts in the league. Haryana Steelers went down to U Mumba, losing 28-29 in a narrow defeat. While Gujarat Fortunegiants, on the other hand, will look to register another win after they trounced Dabang Delhi 26-20.
They locked horns last night and played the first draw of the tournament with points 27-27 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Haryana captain Surender Nada was the star of the team with a great defence and also bagged 7 tackle points. Vikash Khandola was the key raider of Haryana.
Gujarat was in 20-13 lead in the 28th minute. Their substitute Mahendra Rajput was the main contributor with five raiding points. Sukesh Hegde and Sachin got three raiding points each, while Indian defenders Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal got three tackling points each. But every time Gujarat took a lead Haryana kept fighting back.

At the beginning of the second half, substitute Surjeet Singh got two touch points as Haryana, facing an all-out, recovered two players and equalized 11-11.The best moment of the match was when Haryana had only two players left.
But later Haryana played with a clever mind. Khandola came back with three magical points to make it 20-22 and then Haryana forced an all out on Gujarat to equalise at the 23-point mark. It was one hell of a neck to neck match.
