Major setback for Australian Cricket Team
Australian Cricket Team’s skipper and most dependable batsman across all the formats, Steve Smith, has been ruled out from T20I series. According to the reports in Cricket.com.au. Steve Smith will head home after he reported that he is suffering from a sore shoulder ahead of a training session on Friday eveing.
Imediately, Smith was send for an MRI Scans, and it has been cofnfirmed that supporting staff has asked him to head home. Cricket Australia medical staff say they’re confident Smith will be fit to play the start of the JLT Sheffield Shield season, but it’s an untimely setback with the Magellan Ashes less than two months away.
Team Doctor, Richard Saw, in a press said, “He has had an MRI scan which has excluded serious injury, but we believe the best course of action is for him to not continue to aggravate his shoulder and allow it to recover,”
He futher added, “He will have further investigation upon his return to Australia but we remain confident he will be available for the start of the Sheffield Shield season.”
Hpwever, Cricket Australia has named MArcus Stoinis as his Steve Smith’s replacement for the 3 match T20I series against India, which is to start from 7th of October.
