However, the Supreme Court on 23rd October ruled that people do not need to stand up in theatres for the National Anthem to prove their patriotism. But the decision, it appears, has disappointed celebrities.

The left-handed batsman had questioned how tough it is to stand for 52 seconds while the national anthem is being played in cinema halls.

The veteran, however, was poked by comedian Kunal Kamra on the matter before Gambhir fans gave the comedian a hard time on Twitter.

This time Tanmay has decided to give him a reply which got a mixed response from the Twitterati. While some came in support of Bhat, others countered his argument.

Here is the Tweet and response on it:

Gambhir’s tweet: Standin n waitin outsid a club:20 mins.Standin n waitin outsid favourite restaurant 30 mins.Standin for national anthem: 52 secs. Tough?”

Tanmay Bhat’s reply to Gambhir: “Yes but if you don’t want to wait at the restaurant and leave, then nobody comes, yells bharat Mata Ki and beats you up.”
