The first phase of India’s tour to England went to India as they defeated England 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. India beat England in the third and deciding T20I by seven wickets at Bristol.
England batted first and scored 198 runs with Jason Roy making 67 and Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow scoring cameos. India reached the target with eight balls to spare and seven wickets in hand and clinched the series 2-1.
The heroes for Team India proved to be Hardik Pandya with both bat (33*) and ball (4/38) and Rohit Sharma, who scored 100*- his third T20I hundred, making him the second batsman to achieve this milestone.
Indian captain Virat Kohli too played a brilliant knock of 43, to add 89 runs with Rohit Sharma for the third wicket. During his innings, Virat looked in control and only got out, when he hit a return catch to Chris Jordan.
Virat Kohli was looking in great touch and hit balls to all part of the ground. However, one shot stood out. It came in the 14th over bowled by Liam Plunkett and Virat got a full ball, which he whipped inside out over long on for a six, which was dubbed as the inside out helicopter shot.
