Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his 53rd birthday on November 2. The actor is one of the highest paid in the entertainment industry in the world and has appeared in over 80 films after having started his career in TV.
Hailing from New Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan was born to Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima in 1965. His career in the Indian entertainment industry began with 1989’s TV series Fauji and then Circus. His film debut came with Deewana in 1992 and he earned the Best Male Debut award at Filmfare Awards.
Since then, he has gone to appear in some of the biggest blockbusters of Hindi cinema like Darr (1993), Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and others. He also owns a production company The Red Chillies Entertainment.
Shah Rukh Khan also owns the IPL franchise of Kolkata Knight Riders, which have won the IPL tournament in 2012 and 2014 and is one of the most profitable teams in IPL history.
